JOURNAL SECTION

This is where my journal Assignment #5 will begin, this is going to be a following of my journey from being an equipment operator to becoming an Instructor of heavy equipment operation.So far I have learned alot about myself and the knowledge I have stored up over the 32 years working in the logging Industry. This journal will continue over my entire journey in this course.

    Hi Terry. This is Robert in 3240. Like the look of your blog. Will look forward to your future posts on your journey from working man to instructor and the challenges you experience passing your knowledge on to the younger generation. In the course I'm now taking we talk a lot about hybrid learning and how to deliver education to the tech savvy youth of today who spend so much time on their digital devices playing games. I'd like your thoughts on how that plays in the heavy equipment world. Good luck with your blog.

      Hi Robert, One good thing about kids being on gadgets all the time in my industry is that the machines we run all have computers in them, so these young kids that want to run equipment in the forest industry have a head start.When I started out that was the one reason I never started sooner... I was afraid of that darn computer. Kids today just jump right in and they understand much quicker than an older guy like myself. So I find they learn fast.
